Zemax Detector Analyzer

Turn Zemax OpticStudio detector results into clear measurements in seconds. Copy the Text tab from the non-sequential Detector Viewer and paste it here, or open the exported TXT file. The tool reads the data and shows your irradiance or intensity distribution as an interactive 2D map and a 3D surface.

What you can do

(1) Measure any region: draw rectangles, squares, circles, polygons or freehand shapes, or enter their size and position as numbers.

(2) Get the key numbers right away: mean, mean square, RMS, standard deviation, min, max, peak-to-valley, integrated power, peak position and centroid.

(3) Check uniformity five ways: Min/Max, Min/Mean, 1 − σ/μ, coefficient of variation and (Max − Min)/(Max + Min).

(4) Write your own formulas: encircled energy, percentiles, D4σ beam widths, area above a threshold, and more.

(5) Zoom into a selected region: see it in 2D and 3D with its own color scale.

(6) Draw profile lines: with automatic FWHM.

(7) Save your work: reopen a full session later, export the results to CSV for Excel, or save the plots as PNG images.

How to use it

  1. In Detector Viewer, open the Text tab, select all (Ctrl+A) and copy (Ctrl+C).
  2. Click Paste from clipboard.
  3. Draw a region and read the results.

Everything runs in your browser. Your simulation data is never uploaded.
